Saying goodbye is hard to do!

It is exciting to move to a new community but it was also sad to say goodbye to our many friends in the bay area.  I am excited and blessed to be able to stay home with Charley but it was hard to say goodbye to all of my coworkers at Hayward Unified and Head Start. On May 2nd my coworkers at Hayward Unified had a goodbye lunch for me. It was so nice to see everyone one last time before we moved. I will truly miss everyone and I am so thankful for all of the experiences over the past five years. Goodbye to all of my friends At Hayward Unified. It has been wonderful working with all of you!

For the past three years I have worked with Head Start as part of our preschool inclusion program.  I have made some great friends at Head Start and will cherish the relationships that I have made.Charley and I stopped by one afternoon to say goodbye and clean out my office.

In April we visited our friends the Bornstein Family. They were one of the first families that I got to work with in the bay area when I did early intervention. Their daughter Haley has Down Syndrome and is now eight years old. They quickly became great friends and we have stayed in touch over the years. They were very excited to meet Charley! Unfortunately Haley did not want to have her picture taken that day.

Hannah has become such a lovely twelve year old

We also visited with my friend Nicole who is the mother of Alessandro who is five years old. I started working with Alessandro when he was two months old! It was great to see them.
