Four Month Trip to Albuquerque

On Tuesday February 27th we took Charley on her first trip to Albuquerque so she could meet more of my family. We were a bit nervous about taking her on the airplane but she did awesome. One man even commented on what a wonderful traveler she was!

When we arrived in Albuquerque we ran into our friends Brian and Michael who had just returned from visiting family in San Francisco. They will be moving to New Jersey in July so we are super glad that we ran into them.

We stayed at Aunt Mar's and Uncle Donnie's house for the first few days of our trip while they were in Hawaii so my Grandma "Nana" could spend some time with Charley. We very lucky that Auntie Katie got to hang out with us before she started her new job. Charley also got to meet Aunt Jeanette. My Aunt Jeanette just became a grandma to baby Kaelynn. My cousin John and his girlfriend Brittany brought Kaelynn over one afternoon so we could have a baby bash!

On Thursday afternoon we went to my mom and dad's house for the weekend so we could spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. Charley got to meet Auntie Masha and meet Grandma and Grandpa's two new dogs Isla and Quinn. They look like polar bears compared to Charley.  On Friday Morning we woke up to snow flakes and Charley got to see her first snow. Auntie Katie and Uncle Skyler came over with their dog Magic and we had a great big slumber party! On Saturday night Grandma made a big German dinner for Darrin that we all enjoyed!

While we were at Grandma and Grandpa's my friend Denise came over. Denise and I have been friends since high school but have not seen each other in over ten years. She now lives in South Dakota and had twin girls three weeks after I had Charley. She happened to be in town with her husband Matt visiting her parents. We invited her over so we could meet Matt and her little girls Chloe and Ashly.

Charley likes to look at books and she enjoyed when Grandma played with her and read to her.

Charley is really becoming playful. One of her favorite games is to play tootsies with mommy!

Charley's favorite book is goodnight Moon. She likes to look at the black and white and colored pictures.

On Sunday March 4th we headed back to Aunt Mar and Uncle Donnie's house so we could pick them up from the airport and spend a few days with them before we headed back to California. Both Aunt Mar and Uncle Donnie couldn't get enough of little Charley. Charley enjoyed hanging out with Aunt Mar and loved playing peek-a-boo.

We had a wonderful trip and we are so glad that Charley got to meet more of her Albuquerque family! We are blessed to have such a wonderful family! We love you all!
