Baby Animals

Over the past few months we have gotten to watch many animals come and visit our back yard. We have even had the opportunity to see some baby animals too. We have lots of deer that come and visit us everyday but we also have several fawns and does who come visit us quite frequently as well. It has been so neat to watch them grow over the summer or to see a new one arrive. We think several of them may have been born on our property. In addition to the deer we also got to see a couple of baby raccoons too. It was fun to watch them wrestle around and they had fun exploring our back patio. It's nice to know that our yard is a safe haven for some of these animals especially the deer. Hopefully the raccoons won't became a nuisance when we get our chickens!

Here is another doe with two fawns.
These guys looked like they were just a few days old when they came for their first visit.

Where Does She Get Those Curls?

As Charley's hair has started to come in she has begun to get curls in the back.  So the question on everybody's mind has been, "Where does she get those curls?" We really had no idea. The only person I could think of who had curly hair on my side was my grandpa Charley when he was a young child. And Darrin couldn't think of anyone on his side. But after some investigating it turns out that both Grandma's had curly hair when they were Charley's age. Both Grandma's grew out of their curls but it will be interesting to see how long Charley has them.  But for right now we think they are the cutest curls ever!
