Nine Months and Counting....

Nine Months Old!
Wow!! Nine months just flew by! Charley has made so many milestones this month it's crazy! So hold onto your hats while we review all that our little munchkin has done.

Charley loves to help mommy around the house! Here are some pics of her helping with the laundry. These were taken at the beginning of the month and she is almost sitting by herself.

What a big girl!
A few weeks ago Oma and Lou went on a trip so we helped house and cat sit while they were away. Their cat Nova who is usually very shy was super friendly when we came over. Probably because she knew we had treats!Charley was pretty mesmerized by her and enjoyed assisting with feeding her snacks.

Charley loves to kick with her legs so we thought she might like to jump. Darrin and I are stating to learn so we borrowed a doorway jumper from a friend to try out. She is not too sure how to do it on her own yet but really enjoys when we help her bounce.

One of our big milestones this month was getting our first tooth! We tried to take some pictures but it turned out to be a bit difficult to capture an image of the elusive first tooth! You'll just have to take our word for it! It's on the bottom.

Last weekend we went to our friend Kirsten's house for her birthday. She has a swing set and Charley got to go in the bucket swing for the first time. She seemed to enjoy it and looked super cute hanging out with Kirsten's nieces.

This past month Charley has become quite playful and her favorite game is peek-a-boo. She is so funny and thinks that when she puts her hands over her head she is hiding!

Here is a video of her playing her favorite game while we were changing the sheets on the bed.

Another big milestone this month is that Charley is starting to sit up by herself for short periods!

This past weekend we went to the bay area for a Dentist appointment. Charley still does not enjoy being in the car for any length of time but fortunately we were able to visit with friends and family!

Charley is starting to have some stranger anxiety but she still enjoys being with her Uncle Sheldon!

Reading Charley's favorite book Goodnight Moon
A few days before our trip Charley started clapping. Here are some pictures of her and Grandpa Allen clapping and being silly!

And our final milestone occurred on our trip one day before turning ten months old....Charley is now commando crawling.

Some other milestones that Charley has done this past month (but we didn't get photos or video) are:

She is making more sounds and it sounds like she is saying hey or hi sometimes. She is also saying baa and dada more. I thinks she is beginning to associate dada with Darrin.

She has also been waving more and she likes to wave to Darrin when she sees him first thing in the morning in his home office. It's super cute!

We hope you enjoyed our nine month review! We look forward to seeing what ten months brings!
